Where have I been?
After finishing my BA in Business Studies I joined a financial regulatory authority at its very early stage, where I gained valuable experience in organisational management at a conceptual stage. I then had the opportunity to join an NGO that provided educational programmes in developing countries in Asia. My work ranged from fundraising and sponsorship to programme management. I had the opportunity to work in Indonesia with local NGOs which was both valuable and inspiring. My last job before joining MA Innovation Management was at an entrepreneurship support organisation, also at an early conceptual stage. There I learned a lot about entrepreneurship through working with startups. This opened my eyes to the possibilities for change and encouraging innovation within the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Why MA Innovation Management?
Because it’s more than just an MBA. Being based in a design school, interacting with and learning from people from varied industries makes it possible to think about things differently. The MA Innovation Management at Central Saint Martins allows me to address business issues from a different and wider perspective, gaining new tools and skills to better understand how to develop entrepreneurship from a business, design and cultural perspectives in Qatar.
Where am I going?
With the newly acquired knowledge, I want to better assist startups and entrepreneurs by fostering an entrepreneurial culture in Qatar.
