More about me
Korean parents, born and raised in Hamburg, Germany
Where have I been?
During school and college predominantly in Germany, with stations in the US, Slovenia and France. I hold an engineering degree in Textile engineering/management from Reutlingen University. I have worked for the plush-toy company NICI in Marketing and Product Development in Germany and in Hong Kong, where I spent 2.5 years whirling around the PRC, Korea and Vietnam, to develop products, manage suppliers, factories, and set up new departments and offices in Seoul and Qingdao. My expertise in toys and offshore manufacturing have then led me to Coca-Cola Germany, where I spent the past 6 years in Marketing Procurement, making me an expert in FMCG shopper marketing on the one hand, and in creating strategic concepts, as well as leading cross-disciplinary projects.
Why MA Innovation Management?
My educational and professional career has equipped me with wide and colorful range of experiences, skills and ideas. What I needed were new dialogues, methods and guidance beyond self-education, in order to combine these ingredients in a smart and powerful way. To me, MA Innovation Management was a ‘kitchen’ to discover/activate dormant potential and to re-invent myself as a professional, helping me to become who I really am.
Where am I going?
I love things – and I want to be there when they are conceived. I want to work in consumer-/design research or product-planning/-strategy. My research placement in the consumer electronics industry has shown me that I have everything it takes to do so. With my newly acquired experiences of the past two years I am ready to make an impact on the world of consumer products.
